Progress Tracker

In May 2024, One Bronte ~ One Voice met with the Town of Oakville's CAO and senior staff from key departments such as transportation, planning, open space, infrastructure, etc. It was a significant moment, as it was the first time senior staff came to Bronte for such a meeting

and the first time a citizen-led group from Bronte detailed the community's concerns about the liveability that will be crucial in Bronte's future.

We also presented a frank assessment of Bronte's current density, highlighting the unprecedented four major developments happening simultaneously within a mere four-block area. No other neighbourhood in Oakville has faced such concentrated growth.

Included in our comments were references on multiple fronts such as the redevelopment of Lakeshore Road West, the Bronte Streetscaping Plan, the future of cultural heritage lands at Bronte Beach and Bronte Bluffs, the future of the heritage-designated Metro Marine building, the badly needed connectivity of our waterfront areas, etc.

Below is our progress tracker. As issues arise or activity occurs on some of the items named above, we'll post information and provide facts, details and updates as they become available. We hope to provide information, timelines and updates on the issues we're following and the projects we're part of. Simply click on an image below to learn more.
